What are biab nails?
BIAB is an acronym for “builder in a bottle”. It is a gel product cured in our LED lamp and it is stronger than a classic gel polish manicure.
The BIAB we use at VS NAILS is a professional only product by the gel bottle inc – and is available in over a dozen shades as well as clear.
Even though it is a product that soaks off beautifully…
It is designed to be infilled – not removed! at each repeat appointment which is great for protecting your natural nails from being damanged from constant over prep/filing.
BIAB is an all-in-one product containing primer, basecoat, and color – this results in a thinner more natural looking manicure without compromising on strength or durability,
how often should i get biab nails done?
Victoria will discuss with you during your first visit’s consultation and then check in at each infill to discuss if any adjustments need to be made.
Things that are helpful for your nail technician to know, so they can recommend a rebooking frequency:
- How your job impacts your nails
- Any sports you do like boxing or swimming
- Hobbies that could be affecting your nails
- Health and medical conditions that change our nails
The average is around 3 weeks but you may be slightly less or slightly more often than the average, especially if you have either:
- Very fast growing nails or
- Very slow growing nails.
what colors of biab do you have available?
Victoria orders in the latest and most loved (by you!) colors of BIAB. We currently have a dozen colors plus clear BIAB – which you can have any of our gel polish colors applied on top. You can also finish your BIAB with a glitter, chrome or matte effect.
who can wear biab nails?
BIAB is suitable for almost everyone! Long nails, short nails, even thin, weak, and soft nails will find BIAB lasts incredibly well compared to a classic gel manicure.
BIAB does need a small fraction of an edge at the tip of your natural nail so it can be properly capped and sealed so if your nails are extremely short – you may need to grow them out a little before booking your appointment.
